For many years Roscrea Lions Club had organised a Charity Walk as a fundraising event. These walks of 10k were greatly supported.
Past walks took place from Coláiste Phobal to Monaincha on many occasions, while in 2012 a novel idea was introduced where the walk took place around the training circuit of Villa Park.
In 2013 the Lions decided to introduce the Fun Run to replace the walk.
