Maria Beaton ran the Galway Bay Marathon in October 2015. She raised a phenomenal €1,650 which she donated to the Roscrea Lions Club in memory of her father in law Maurice Murphy, a 45-year member of the Club who sadly passed away the previous year. Maurice was a very active member and the funds donated by Maria will help those local charity projects which were so close to his heart.
