Sr Mona Maher visits Roscrea Lions Club

This week our Club welcomed Sr. Mona Maher to our monthly meeting. She outlined the wonderful work that is taking place in her school in Coloma, Uganda, where she has spent the last 50 years.

Coloma Primary School began in 2010 and is owned and run by the Daughters of Mary and Joseph as a private boarding school. The school has a special care and concern for orphans and for children from vulnerable homes, and most children receive full or partial sponsorship supported by sponsors in Ireland and around the world.

Sr Mona acknowledged the wonderful team she works with and the continued support she receives from our Club and the people of Roscrea and Birr (Here is one example from last year).  She and her team will be forever grateful for the generosity they receive. Continued success to this wonderful lady – our Club salutes her wonderful work.
